About J. Mathew Butler

Originally from Pace, FL, Mathew now calls Dallas, TX home. Holding degrees in Legal Administration, Mass Communication, and Political Rhetoric his philosophy on education was “I’ll keep going as long as someone besides me and my parents are paying for it”. There was never a moment during his formal education when he was not involved with arts and entertainment. Ballet, acting, writing (poetry), and singing were all interests he continued to perfect while enslaved to academia.

Finding himself drawn more to creative arts, he pursued every opportunity to take the stage as a triple threat and landed several TV spots and commercials along with various modeling opportunities. Always one to exercise his creative gene, his interest in photography, fashion, and make-up was sparked when he began a project combining his poetry with visual images to create a book for friends and family. Hired by Septien Entertainment Group in 2004 as Director of Artist Development, he put his unique abilities to use creating marketable images for upcoming artists. Mathew’s education and experience combine to make him a photographer and stylists with a certain knack for creating unique images that capture the artistry and personality of those he photographs.
